The GO slim terms of proteins are a mapping of GO terms (from the GOterm ontology v1.2) with either generic Goslim or yeast Goslim ontologies, using the map2slim.pl script (see the Gene Ontology GO Slim guide for details).
The GO terms of proteins were defined by EMBL or UNIPROT, the GO terms of protein families are the sum of all the GO terms of their members.
Each file is made of 4 columns separated by tabulation characters. When several terms are present in a single column, they are separated by space characters.
Column definitions :
  1. Protein or family name
  2. Molecular function terms
  3. Cellular component terms
  4. Biological process terms
